Houston based music production company, Grammy Award winning The Bridge Life Music Career Advancement, LLC. partnered with KHOU Channel 11, along with Deborah Duncan of Great Day Houston and The Salvation Army of Greater Houston to create a music project, entitled The Safest Place. The music and art project were directly inspired from the stories of several families that The Salvation Army helped to overcome homelessness, and spawned several original songs written by The Bridge Life Music, along with 10,032 original pieces of art representing the volunteers who serve The Salvation Army in many of the 132 nations around the world where the organization is represented. The project helped raise more than $2,500,000 to get families off the streets during the ’19 holiday season, and now is launching to the world as an NFT project. A documentary showcasing the inspiration behind the project and the creation of the art and music offerings is underway, and will be premiered with a red carpet screening in the city of Houston upon completion.
Below are the appearances on Great Day Houston of some of the families that inspired the project, along with live performances of the songs that are a part of The Safest Place NFT Project.
